NEWPORT MARINE & RV SERVICE IS A REGISTERED AGENT WITH THE OREGON STATE MARINE BOARD, AND CAN REGISTER YOUR WATERCRAFT LOCALLY
TITLING YOUR WATERCRAFT
Vessels primarily used in Oregon waters must be registered with the OSMB, this includes:
all boats using any kind of motor, regardless of length
sailboats 12 feet or longer
This pertains to documented and undocumented vessels
Oregon boat titles must be submitted by mail or through a local agent (that’s us!) within 30 days from the date of purchase, or incur a $25 late transfer penalty fee.
Registration is issued on a two-calendar year basis, with all decals expiring on December 31st
FEE SCHEDULE INFORMATION
Fees are calculated at a rate of $5.95 per rounded foot of length, plus a set $5 Aquatic Invasive Species Surcharge
for example, a boat that is 18’ 2” would have a registration fee of $118.05 (19 rounded feet X $5.95 + $5 = $118.50), to see the Boat Registration Fee Schedule click HERE

New or Never Titled - $75
Late Title Transfer (Oregon-based only) - $25
Replacement Certificate of Number - $15
Replacement Certificate of Number with Decals - $15
Replacement Title with NO CHANGES to Owner or Lender - $25
Per OAR 250-010-0058 all OSMB fees are non-refundable.

BOATING SAFETY EDUCATION
ALL boaters in Oregon are required to take a state Boating Safety course and carry a Boater Education Card when operating a motor boat over 10 horsepower *
* kids aged 12-15 operating a boat of any size are required to complete a Boater Safety Course and carry a Boating Education Card
